Stars who have overcome a sex tape scandal

• Fred Durst, from Limp Bizkit, had a sex tape with one woman (not known who it was), that was leaked onto the internet by a computer repair person. It is also suspected that he leaked the three minute clip himself, for publicity. It did not hurt his career in the slightest.
• Paris Hilton had a sex tape ("One Night in Paris") with ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon. Though Paris tried to stop distribution, she eventually gave up on that campaign. She allegedly has profited from the release of the tape. It may have ruined her reputation, but it didn't damage her career.
  
• Tonya Harding, an ice skater, has a sex tape with her husband, Jeff Gillooly. It was allegedly leaked, however, Tonya legitimately released it later. I don't think that at this point, Harding had much of a career to hide, so no harm done.
  
• Kid Rock and Scott Stapp (Creed) allegedly have a sex tape with them and four women. The tape had a planned release in 2006, but a woman involved with the tape filed to block it's release. Kid Rock also objected to it's release.
  
• Pamela Anderson and ex-husband Tommy Lee had an internet sex tape in 1998, one of the first, actually. It was filmed on their honeymoon.
  
• Speaking of Pam, there is also footage of her with Bret Michaels (Rock of Love, Poison) on DVD as of 2005.
  
• Chyna Doll (Joanie Laurer) and X-Pac (Sean Waltman) had a sex tape released in 2004, known as One Night in China. I say it helped Chyna's career more than hurt it. It helped her get on several reality shows.
  
• Colin Farrell and Nicole Narain have a sex tape that is approximately 13 minutes long from 2006. Farrell has blocked distribution, however. No harm done, at least on Farrell's part.
• Dustin Diamond (Saved by the Bell, Celebrity Fit Club) allegedly authorized the release of his sex tape, circa 2006. The 40 minute tape features several acts that I would quality as ... disgusting. It brought him back to the surface of reality tv celebrities, I say, mega boost.
• Kim Kardashian, best known for her new reality show and for being a Paris Hilton side-kick, has confirmed that she has a sex tape with a one-time boyfriend, Ray J. She has threatened to block distribution, but so far, she's gotten a reality show out of it and a Playboy appearance. No harm done, yet again.
  
• A former Survivor contestant, Jenna Lewis, has a 42 minute wedding night sex tape released. Have we heard from her since? No. But nobody cares, so I don't think it hurt.
